Stop Thief

Officers investigating a burglary in Plymouth are appealing for information after a number of unique items including military service medals were stolen. Four medals were taken from a property in Taunton Avenue, Whitleigh, sometime between 11pm on Tuesday 23 September and 6am on Wednesday 24 September. Northern Ireland General Service , Accumulated Service medals to 25044636  J P SMITH,  the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medals were also stolen.


A number of other army-related items were taken including a green army jumper with ‘Army Commando’ flashes, two folders called ‘TAMs Tactical Aide Memoirs’, a military driving licence which includes the victim’s name JP SMITH and service number 25044636 and an army fitness guide book. Detectives would like to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of the items or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Taunton Avenue area around the time of the burglary.
