Silver Kilo - Christening - rev.jpg

The Royal Mint has announced the release of a new coin design to celebrate the forthcoming Christening of Prince George of Cambridge. The coin, which will come in Platinum (5oz with an issue limit of 100), gold (a full kilo - limited to just 22 coins- and 5oz, issue limit 500 coins), Silver (again a kilo, this time 500 coins and 5oz with an issue limit of 1660, a number chosen to reflect the date of the first King George's birth apparently) and Cupro-nickel is the first coin struck to mark a Royal Christening. It won't find its way into change of course but collectors will, we are sure, snap them up
