Corporal Daniel Keighran has become the third Australian Soldier to be awarded the Country's highest military honour - the Victoria Cross for Australia, Corporal Keighran of the Royal Australian Regiment was decorated with the VC following operation in Afghanistan when a joint Australian-Afghan Patrol came under attack and he broke cover on numerous occasions to draw enemy fire away from other members of his patrol.
