News has reached us that the Bank of England has been in secret talks to print the £5 on polymer paper (as used in Canada, Australia and others) there is no official line on this story but the Australian based new site " The Age" reports that a bribery scandal at the company the Bank of England were planning to use to supply the "paper" has scuppered the whole deal.
