Scottish banknotes move south...?

A new bid has been launched to force English retailers to take Scottish Banknotes in the same way they do bank of England ones! Apparently no English retailer is obliged to take a Scottish note as they are not backed by the force of Law - Bank of England ones are. This new bid, by Shadow Scottish Secretary David Mundell is designed to put both types of banknotes on an equal footing.
