Shillings at Bloomsbury

Posted on Mon, 30 April 2007 by Phil Mussell - Coin News, Banknote News

Bloomsbury Auctioneers have a fanstastic hammered & milled shilling collection coming up in their 30 May sale, from Philip & Mary to George III, around 100 lots of superb Shillings including early milled Charles II, James II and William III with lustre...formed over 20-40 years ago by a now-retired collector from Exmoor.

In addition there is also the archive of T.Harrison engravings direct from the family which has hundreds of test prints, vignettes etc including partial test prints of Irish & Scottish notes including two partial prints of the ten Shiilling Lavery in green!

More details as we get them
