The long-awaited Platinum Jubilee medal design has finally been unveiled- and rather nice it is too!
Using the Ian Rank-Broadley obverse, the reverse depicts the very top of the Royal Coat of arms. The Lion Stattant Guardant stands atop a crowned Royal Armourial helmet surrounded by ermine. The ribbon is a nod to Jubilee medals of the past with the silver edges from the 1977 medal, the blue from the Golden Jubilee of 2002 and the red from 2012.
