OMRS Convention Exhibitors

The recent OMRS convention in Nottingham proved a great success and congratulations must go to all who made the effort to exhibit this year -  the standard was exceptionally high. The list of exhibits, exhibitors and awards made is as follows:

In the Open Class:

Christopher Bacon - The Wiltshire Regimental Care Committee (who was awarded Silver).
Roger Bragger - Like Father, Almost Like Son (Silver).
Paul Brewster - Meritorious Service Medals to the BSAP 1932-1980 (Gold).
Lionel Digby - Highlights of 40 Years Exhibiting.
Martin Harrison - The Municipal Year of 1977 (Silver).
James Kemp - For Service in Minor Naval Warlike Operations: A Study of the NGS 1915-1962 (Gold).
Owain Raw-Rees - Wanderings in Arabia (Gold).
Danny Rees - Heroes of Chernobyl (Silver).
Wayne Ratcliffe - Berkshire Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa (Silver).

David Sowerby (First Time Exhibitor) - Gloves On/Gloves Off: the life and times of Lt Col W M C Wall (Silver)

Andrew Swanson (First Time Exhibitor). - On Roll Not on Medal - Engraved for Mwele: East & West Africa Medal 1887-1900 (Silver)
Nick Tucker - Lest We Forget - The Sacrifice of One Family Name in the Great War 1914-1919 (Gold and Best in Show Trophy).
Stuart Wright (First Time Exhibitor) - 7th South Staffordshire Regiment - The Battle of Messines Ridge June 1917 (Silver)

In the Research Class:


Richard Clay (First Time Exhibitor)- Recipients of both the Military Cross and Military Medal 1916-1921 & 1940-1953 (Silver)
Simon Eyre (First Time Exhibitor)- Researching WW1 Distinguished Service Medals (Gold and First Time Exhibitor's Trophy)
Nicholas Higton (First Time Exhibitor).  - An attempt to partially finish the Captain's work - RM & RMA LSGC's 1875 to 1884

Howard Williamson (definitely not a first time exhibitor!) - The Award of the Military Medal for the Campaign in Italy 1917 to 1918 (Gold).
