The end of the penny?

So in the Spring Statement the Chancellor is talking about phasing out the 1p (and with it over 1000 years of history) and 2p coins and, at the other end of the scale, the £50 note - just because not many people use them and others find them pointless...
If we are going down that route there are, perhaps, other things that are rarely used and a little bit pointless that we could perhaps look at getting rid of. Let's start with some of our MPs maybe?
